Ayesha Kutbuddin

Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)

Ayesha has loved mathematics all her life and knew she wanted it to be a major part of her career. From helping friends with the subject to tutoring other students, Ayesha has always enjoyed the opportunity to help anyone having difficulty in math. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2021, majoring in Mathematics. During her time at the university, she participated in a preschool literacy program, known as Jumpstart, in which she worked with students in under-resourced communities to help close the kindergarten readiness gap. Ayesha also worked with the Student-Athlete Success Program, which allowed her to tutor student-athletes in subjects such as math and linguistics, These programs helped her discover that she wanted to go into education to teach mathematics and continue sharing her love of mathematics with students. Ayesha is excited to become a culturally responsive mathematics teacher and begin her teaching career in the MAT program!
