I am originally from Rochester, NY, and was a student in the Rochester City School District. I completed my BA in History, focusing on Latin America, at the University of Rochester in Spring 2017. While an undergrad I was a member of the men's rowing team and a writing fellow. After graduating I moved to Cambridge, MA where I coached high school rowing and substitute taught in the Cambridge Public School District. It was at this point that I started to consider becoming a teacher as my professional goal. I moved to Providence, RI in 2019, and spent the 2020-21 school year as a Warrior Teaching Fellow at Central Falls High School, which has cemented my goal to teach high school social studies.
