Madison is an aspiring social studies teacher from Shelby Township, Michigan. They graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Cultures and Politics as well as Social Relations and Policy in 2021. Madison realized their love for teaching at Michigan State where they taught at the Refugee Development Center in Lansing, mentored 5th-6th grade students through the Honors Times Two program, and co-founded the Case Hall ESOL program which established an English language tutoring system for MSU staff. As certain educators through Madison’s own schooling empowered their identity and helped foster their passions, they believe that education can create significant positive change for individuals and communities. Madison strives to be like these educators in their own inclusive, social-justice-centered classroom. In their free time, Madison enjoys running, rock climbing, baking, and eating too much sushi with their friends.
