Education: Spelman College, Bachelor of Arts in History, 2024
Alexis Campbell graduated from Spelman College in 2024 with a B.A. in History, where she became deeply interested in how historical forces have shaped the systemic inequities present in education today. She recently completed a Fulbright in Taiwan (2024–2025), gaining international teaching experience and a deeper understanding of how cultural context shapes education and community. At Spelman, she worked as a Black Girlhood Studies Fellow, critically examining the intersections of race, gender, and identity and strengthening her commitment to advocate for marginalized youth. She furthered this commitment through her work with Student Voice, a student-led nonprofit that centers youth voices in education policy to advance more equitable systems. As a student in Brown’s Urban Education Policy program, Alexis is focused on gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to design policies that promote equity and culturally sustaining education for historically marginalized communities.
