Anne Overton (she/her) is a MAT student concentrating in Secondary English education. Her time managing staff members and high school students at Harlem Children’s Zone intensified her commitment to education, which she is excited to approach from the psychological lens she developed from her studies at Barnard College. English has also been a lifelong love of hers, and was an extensive part of her collegiate career. In addition to leading a classroom, Anne has interest in administrative leadership and the more broadly transformative power of education. Previous work and extracurricular experience include college readiness mentorship, theater arts, Ultimate Frisbee, poetry, environmental justice, and outdoor education.
