Biography

Education: Providence College, BA in Sociology, 2019     

Diana (She/Her) is a Rhode Island native. She is originally from El Salvador, but she has lived in Providence for much of her life. She currently works at the Annenberg Institute at Brown University. Before joining Annenberg, Diana supported fundraising and daily operations at Providence Student Union, a local non-profit helping students advocate for equitable education policy and safe schools in Providence. Diana holds a B.A. in Sociology from Providence College, where her research and work focused on education and helping low-income first-generation students access higher education. 

Diana's own experiences as a student in the Providence Public School system, where she witnessed firsthand the lingering inequalities that continue to affect students today, have driven her pursuit of a master's degree in Urban Education Policy. With a deep understanding of the systemic challenges facing education, she is committed to harnessing her knowledge to create positive change and ensure a more equitable future for the next generation of students.
