Elijah Puente (he/him) is a MAT student in the math cohort with an interdisciplinary interest in science. He is especially interested in teaching Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Elijah is committed to helping his students navigate society as it stands today and pushing them to work to build a more equitable and just world. Outside of the classroom, Elijah works as a Direct Support Professional in Deaf/HoH Services at Perspectives Corporation. Outside of education and direct support care, he enjoys cooking, trying various restaurants, and swimming.
