Happy is a member of the English MAT cohort. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies and English Literature from Brown University. As an undergraduate, Happy worked as a researcher at the Brown Language and Thought Lab and was a dedicated tutor for the Brown Tutoring Corps at the Providence Public Library. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Laura Snyder, where she deepened her passion for curriculum development. On campus, Happy is an active member of the Anime Video Game Ensemble and the Filipino Alliance. In her free time, she enjoys reading, singing, listening to music, playing RPGs, and cooking. Happy hopes to use her training to improve the quality and accessibility of education in the Philippines and globally. She aims to nurture a love for reading, writing, and literary analysis in her students within an inclusive classroom that honors their experiences.
