Khadijah Bint Sadiq Abdulmateen
Biography
Khadijah is currently a graduate student in the Urban Education Policy Program. She completed her undergraduate degree at UC Davis in Community and Regional Development with specialization in Global Community and Policy, Planning & Social Services. Khadijah has a background in organizing in the fields of youth justice, education, and electoral justice. Her research interests include exploring the intersectionality between housing insecurity and mental health in relation to educational outcomes of students. Before pursuing a Masters in Urban Education Policy, Khadijah completed a policy fellowship with Council on American Islamic relations, worked in research and assisted in program evaluation with the Center for Regional Change at UC Davis, and serves as a board member for a pro-bono civil rights organization in San Diego. Khadijah enjoys roller skating, reading and watching movies with friends.
