Urban Education Policy (UEP)

Biography

Loredana is excited to be studying in the Urban Education Policy program at Brown. She earned her B.A. in Music from UMass Dartmouth. She has taught people of all ages from preschool to adult learners in the public, nonprofit, and nontraditional educational sectors. Most recently, she has worked at the New Bedford Whaling Museum with thousands of students and educators from across New England and beyond. She also coordinated their volunteer program, working with dozens of volunteer educators on projects focused in educator evaluation, training, culturally responsive teaching, and accessibility. Currently, Loredana is the founder and director of a multigenerational community music program that focuses on accessible and student-centered learning. She is interested in continuing work to increase accessible and responsive education and continuing to build relationships between students and families, schools, and community organizations.
