Remy Young (they/he) is pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in secondary Social Studies. They graduated from Brown University in 2026 with a BA in International and Public Affairs. Remy’s passion for social justice and American history stems from educational research and hands-on classroom experience. As a tutor for multilingual elementary students, Remy firmly believes that classrooms should be safe spaces where teachers grow alongside their students and mistakes are celebrated as milestones. Remy plans to work in public school districts to equip underrepresented students with the civic tools and confidence they need to challenge systems of oppression and write their own narratives. Outside of the classroom, Remy engages with the Providence community as an advocate for local workers' and immigrant rights while contributing to the city’s vibrant arts scene as a dancer, musician, and photographer.
