Tatyana is a passionate educator and lifelong learner who believes in the transformative power of education and the importance of social justice. Currently teaching 6th-grade history at Achievement First Providence Middle, Tatyana creates a classroom space where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to think critically about the world around them. As an immigrant and proud alumna of Teach For America, her journey fuels her commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and advocacy for historically underserved communities. With a master’s degree in education from Rhode Island College, Tatyana is particularly passionate about utilizing history as a tool to inspire dialogue, curiosity, and positive change. Outside the classroom, she enjoys taking long walks, having dinner with my friends, reading about political theories, identity, and turning points in history, and connecting with families and community members who share her belief in justice and equal opportunity for all.
