Education: Wellesley College - BA in English and Cinema and Media Studies, 2022. Rhode Island College - Masters in Education, 2024

Studying Urban Education Policy, Liz Pelletier (she/they) has a passion for providing students with the best opportunities possible. As a teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Junior High School, Liz was nominated for teacher of the year and received teacher of the month awards throughout her two years teaching. At BVP, Liz served as the DEI Chair and a coach for basketball and volleyball. While teaching, Liz was a member of Teach for America where she had the opportunity to engage as an ambassador and Activate Fellow. She ended her time in TFA being awarded with the “Pursue Opportunities” award. During this time, Liz graduated from Rhode Island College with a master’s degree in education. Before becoming a teacher, Liz attended Wellesley College where she graduated with honors in English, completing a senior thesis in creative writing. For her thesis, she received an award in creative writing. Post-undergrad, Liz worked at Simmons University as an admission counselor. During that time, she worked closely with schools in Rhode Island - teaching them about scholarships, financial aid, and college application requirements.
