Collaborative Action in a Rural Setting: Insights from Resilient Southern Illinois

As part of an internship, UEP student Sara White released a case study showcasing the early efforts of Resilient Southern Illinois (Resilient SI).

This case showcases the early efforts of Resilient Southern Illinois (Resilient SI), an initiative of the statewide nonprofit Partnership for Resilience, that brings together school leaders, teachers, students, families, and health care providers to coordinate strong systems of support for children affected by trauma. Through interviews with local leaders, the case distills several key lessons that can help inform other rural collaborative efforts seeking to build on existing assets in order to bolster children's wellbeing.
