Biography

Aaron Hardy (he/him) is an English educator from Fall River, Massachusetts. As a first-generation college graduate, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Education Studies at Brown in 2021. He went on to teach high school English in Taunton, Massachusetts for two years, where his work centered on building trust and helping students engage with literature in ways that reflected their own lives.

Now back at Brown, Aaron is focused on expanding his ability to create classroom environments that uplift student voices, especially those that have historically been marginalized. His teaching is rooted in collaborative and culturally responsive practice, grounded in the belief that all students bring valuable and unique knowledge into the classroom. He sees literacy as a powerful tool for self-advocacy and transformation—one that invites students to explore who they are while challenging the systems around them and imagining new possibilities.
