How to Apply

Brown University's UEP program seeks candidates who combine an interest in education policy issues with a high motivation to be successful in a rigorous and fast-paced master's program.

Students from a variety of backgrounds and fields of study are welcome to apply. Our admissions committee evaluates each candidate based on several considerations including a personal statement, official academic transcript, letters of recommendation, community activities, relevant job experience, extra-curricular activities, and other factors brought to our attention in the application process.

Application Process and Materials

Scholarships

Merit-Based Scholarships: There are no additional forms that need to be completed for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on the strength and competitiveness of your application. For more information, visit the Cost and Financial Aid page.

Need-Based Scholarships: Domestic students seeking need-based aid should apply through the Federal Student Aid website. International applicants and applicants without a social security number (SSN) should complete the CSS profile. These materials must be submitted by January 15 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, which is the same deadline as our program application.
