Amanda Li (she/her) recently graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Chemistry and Education Studies and is now part of the MAT science cohort. During college, she worked as a tutor at Hope High School in a special education classroom, and in past summers, she has worked with middle and high school students as a summer school teacher in her hometown, New York City. Besides her passion for teaching, Amanda also loves reading, finding cool origami designs, video calling with her family, and learning new idioms. Upon graduating from the MAT program, she hopes to use what she has learned to teach chemistry in an accessible and culturally responsive way.
