Brown Education Department Seeks Assistant or Associate Professor of Urban Education Policy

The Annenberg Institute and the Department of Education are searching to jointly hire a tenure-line faculty position in Urban Education Policy at the Assistant or Associate rank.

The Annenberg Institute and the Department of Education are searching to jointly hire a tenure-line faculty position in Urban Education Policy at the Assistant or Associate rank. We seek candidates with a strong research agenda whose work focuses on key issues for reducing inequality and increasing the quality of educational opportunities for children and youth.  The start date for this position is July 1, 2020. 

A candidate’s research should utilize a combination of strong conceptual foundations and rigorous empirical methods. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate interest in and effectiveness at teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome candidates with doctorates in any relevant field – including, among others: economics, education, political science, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, and sociology – and focused on any age group – from early childhood through higher education. Demonstrated excellence in scholarship, teaching and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential.
