Spotlight on Zoe Nadig, Academic Program Coordinator

The Department of Education welcomes Zoe Nadig as the new Academic Program Coordinator, where she brings a wealth of experience in arts education and program administration. She began her educational journey by earning her HiSet (a GED equivalent in Massachusetts) at just 16, followed by an Associate's degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Zoe completed her Bachelor's degree in Theater and Anthropology at Smith College, blending her passions for the arts and social sciences.

Before joining Brown University, Zoe worked as a teaching artist at Porchlight Music Theater and served as a program specialist at After School Matters in Chicago. In these roles, she provided operational and administrative support for arts programming aimed at students with disabilities, collaborating closely with local vocational high schools to enhance access to the arts. Most recently, she was the Student Life Coordinator for the Division of Pre College and Undergraduate Programs at Brown, where she played a crucial role in summer hiring and extracurricular program planning for Summer @ Brown.

As the Academic Program Coordinator in the Education Department, Zoe supports the administration of the undergraduate concentration through various initiatives, including course planning and scheduling, coordinating department events, and serving as a liaison to the Departmental Undergraduate Group (DUG). She is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community and is eager to assist with upcoming DUG events, ensuring student engagement and involvement are at the forefront of the undergraduate program.

Zoe is particularly passionate about arts education and the transformative impact of quality out-of-school programming on young people's development, confidence, and sense of belonging. She encourages faculty and students to connect with her for support or collaboration. Welcome Zoe!
