Arion Brooks is a graduate student at Brown University, pursuing a degree in Urban Education Policy. Arion started their higher educational journey at Augusta University, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with honors and distinction. Arion completed their undergraduate thesis on the role of religious orientation and religious coping on justice-oriented beliefs, exploring the relationship between religion, politics, and current socio-political movements. Arion served as an undergraduate SGA Senator, Chair of Academic Affairs, and executive ambassador during their undergraduate career.

Arion became interested in education policy due to their passion for education and research. They knew Brown University's Urban Education Policy program was the right fit due to its emphasis on research and diversity. Arion hopes to help policymakers make research-based decisions to ensure that students receive the best education and opportunities possible.
