Haeun has recently completed her postgraduate studies at Oxford University and is now excited to be part of the MAT English cohort where she hopes to channel her passion for literature into a lifelong career as an educator. Born in Chicago, IL, Haeun moved to Houston, TX at the end of her elementary years and finished her K-12 education by attending the various public schools in her area. After discovering a love for the classroom and working as a teaching assistant for the Johns Hopkins CTY program, Haeun looks forward to immersing herself fully in the theory and practice of engaging instruction built on equity and empowerment. 

Outside of her studies, Haeun loves travel and photography and can usually be found planning the details of her next destination.
