Leonardo Aquino Angel (he/him; él) is a combined Bacc/MAT student who recently graduated from Brown University with an A.B. in Education Studies and Applied Mathematics. As part of the math education cohort, he will utilize his undergraduate studies to further develop his own pedagogy as an aspiring math educator. During undergrad, he was closely involved with immigrant rights movements in the local Providence community, which he attributes to his family's history of migration from Guatemala, and he hopes to continue to center these communities during his time in and out of the classroom. Upon completing his master's degree, he hopes to enter the teaching profession close to home north of Boston.
