He worked at Cape Cod Hospital in the Emergency Center as a Diagnostic Technician. He began his education journey as a Linear Algebra tutor at Boston University, as well as a volunteer for the Boston Debate League and Wizards At BU. Lucas volunteered to create lab experiments and worksheets to give low-income students in the Greater Boston Area an opportunity to develop both a growing curiosity and passion for learning, leading himself to Brown University's MAT Program to develop into an educator who can continue to help students grow and learn. He hopes to continue his educational pathway in search of both opportunities and growth for low-income communities in both Providence and the United States.

After the MAT Program, Lucas wishes to utilize his knowledge to support and provide students with the resources they need to succeed.
