Congratulations on your acceptance to the Brown University Graduate School!

We are excited to welcome you to the Department of Education! Our department's mission is to understand and improve education through research, teaching, and practice. Education Department Admitted Students Day (in person)	Friday, March 22, 2024
Orientation Dates	Department of Education Orientation: Monday, June 10, 2024 - required International Orientation: August, 21-23, 2024 Student of Color Orientation: August 25-26, 2024 All-Student Orientation: August 27-28, 2024 - required
First Day of Classes	Summer (MAT): Tuesday, June 11, 2024 Summer (UEP): Monday, June 17, 2024 Fall: Wednesday, September 4, 2024 Spring (MAT): MAT students will begin classes in January in conjunction with local schools (typically January 2) Spring (UEP): Wednesday, January 22, 2025
University Calendar	Brown's Academic Calendar 2024-2025 Note: some of our programs' dates will be different from the university calendar, such as the start of the summer semester and MAT students' return to campus after winter break. Please refer to the information you are given directly from the Education Department if there is a discrepancy.
